Book IPI to Keynote Your Next Convention
For your next conference or convention you can spread the word about partnering by bringing in a powerful, professional speaker who will inspire your people to action. Book IPI's CEO, Sue Dyer, and your audience will learn about the Seven Root Causes of Poor Communication on construction projects, or the Three Levels of Cooperation that are possible, or how to assure your Mega-Project's Success, or why we need to become Trusted Leaders. All of these topics are based on research done by the International Partnering Institute.
Sue only speaks to construction owners, designers, contractors and those who support construction. These lessons learned will inspire your teams to being the process of changing our construction culture from an adversarial "war" model to a high-trust "partnership" model.
Ms. Dyer has been a member of the National Speakers Association for over twenty years and has made hundreds of presentations. She is a dynamic speaker who will share the lessons we've learned for creating a culture of partnership in construction - one project at a time.
All speaker fees go to the International Partnering Institute, a 501c non-profit corporation.

Sue was the first woman in the United States to head up a major collective bargaining unit for the construction industry. Ms. Dyer is known internationally as an accomplished facilitator and mediator, as well as an entertaining and dynamic speaker. She facilitates partnering workshops for up to 100 construction projects each year, in addition to mediating disputes and finding new applications for the partnering process.
With her background in construction, collective bargaining, conflict resolution, negotiation, training design, professional speaking, and mediation, Sue offers an interdisciplinary approach to partnering and mediation which has proven time and again to be highly effective.
As one of her clients recently said when he introduced her, Sue Dyer wrote the book on partnering. Her book, Partner Your Project, was the first book to clearly outline the process for partnering. When she wrote the Field Guide to Partnering on Caltrans Projects, she refined the principles found in Partner Your Project to meet the specific needs of Caltrans and its contractors. In addition to these two publications, she has developed a line of partnering reinforcement tools, including audio programs and tips booklets.
Ms. Dyer has been creating partnering processes since 1985, before it was even called partnering. In 1982 she participated in the President’s Council for Productivity Improvement for the construction industry. The Council was charged with finding ways to improve the delivery of construction projects. Her group developed a process called tripartite, named for its bringing together of the three main parties to a construction contract (the owner, designer, and contractor) to coordinate their efforts. Eventually, this process became known as partnering.
